(1) CNC tube billets unloading
Check solid round tube billet, clear surface defects and cut the required length of billet.
(2) Temperature-controllled heating
The tube billet is transferred to an automatic heating furnace via a conveyor belt for temperature control and heating, usually at around 1200°C, to facilitate the subsequent piercing and rolling processes.
(3) Piercing
The solid tube billlet is sent to the piercing machine, where it rotates and moves forward. Under the action of the rollers and punch, a cavity is gradually formed inside the tube, forming a rough tube.
(4) Rolling
The rough tube is then sent to the automatic tube rolling mill for further rolling to form the desired steel tube shape. This process may include different rolling methods such as cross rolling, continuous rolling or extrusion etc.
(5) Sizing and reducing
Sizing the steel pipe after second heating by a sizing machine to achieve the outer diameter and wall thickness required by the specification, improving the dimensional accuracy and mechanical properties of the steel pipe.
