1. How to identify the quality of stainless steel two-piece screw ball valve?

(1) Production process

Main links include material preparation, ball processing, valve boday processing, assembly and testing etc. Surface treatment of full port 2 PC threaded ball valve such as sandblasting,chrome plating etc is essential to improve corrosion resistance and wear resistance.


(2) Appearance inspection

Check whether the appearance of the valve is intact, without damage, scratches or other quality problems. Check the valve body, valve cover, valve stem, ball, sealing surface and other parts, as well as the logo, plate and nameplate on the valve are clear and complete.


(3) Functional test

Check whether the opening and closing function of the valve is normal, and whether the opening and closing action of the valve is rapid and stable, without jamming and blocking phenomenon.


(4) Performance test

Including sealing performance test, flow characteristic test and load characteristic test. Sealing performance testing is key to ensure that the valve does not leak under design pressure.

2.What is included in the regular maintenance of SS ball valves? 

(1) Cleaning:Regularly clean the sphere and sealing surface with cleaning solvent, wipe with brush or soft cloth.


(2) Lubrication: Apply the ball, stem and sealing surface with appropriate lubricant.


(3) Sealing performance: check the sealing performance of the ball and sealing surface. If a leak is found, the valve stem needs to be re-adjusted or the seal replaced.


(4) Stem and operating mechanism: If the stem is found to be bent or damaged, it needs to be repaired or replaced.


(5) Welding interface: If the ball valve is welded, it is necessary to regularly check whether the weld is cracked or damaged to ensure the safety and reliability of the welding interface.



(6) Seals: Regularly check the seals of stainless steel ball valve, if they are aged or worn and need to be replaced.


(7) Operational Performance: Periodically test the switching performance of the ball valve to ensure it operates smoothly and reliably.


(8) Leakage Inspection: Regularly inspect the valve stem packing and connecting parts for any signs of leakage.


(9) Tightness Verification: Ensure that the valve and its associated equipment are securely fastened and free from looseness.


(10) Blowing Down Operation: Conduct a blowing down operation on all ball valves during the spring and autumn inspections to remove any accumulated impurities.


(11) Grease Operation: Perform a greasing operation on all ball valves during the autumn inspection to ensure proper lubrication of the valve sealing materials.
