| 3 PC Flanged Ball Valve
The three-piece flange ball valve and gate valve are valves of the same type, the difference is that its closing piece is a sphere, which rotates around the center line of the valve body to open and close. Flanged ball valves are mainly used to cut off, distribute and change the flow direction of the medium in the pipeline.
(1) Design
-Cast valve body & Single valve seat adopt elastic sealing structure, which is reliable in sealing and easy to open and close.
-The valve stem adopts a bottom-mounted structure with reverse seal. When the valve cavity is abnormally pressurized, the valve stem will not be flushed out.
-90° switch positioning mechanism can be set, and it can be locked as needed to prevent misoperation.
The drive modes include manual, electric, and pneumatic.
(2) Main uses
Applicable to various pipelines with PN 1.0~4.0MPa.
Working temperature -29~180℃ (sealing ring is reinforced polytetrafluoroethylene) or -29~300℃ (sealing ring is para-polystyrene).
(3) Spare parts material
-The valve body and valve cover can be made of carbon steel cast steel or chrome-nickel stainless steel.
-The ball and valve stem can be made of chrome / chrome-nickel / chrome-nickel-molybdenum stainless steel or chrome-nickel stainless steel.
-The sealing ring can be made of flexible graphite gasket or 316+flexible graphite gasket.
(4) Working principle: It can be closed tightly by rotating 90 degrees and with very small torque, and is suitable for use as a switch or cut-off valve.

| FAQ
1. Stainless Steel Flange Ball Valve: What's Good and Bad
Advantage:
(1) Simple and light structure: movable ball core, valve body and flange.
(2) Excellent sealing performance: by closely fitting with the sealing ring on the ball, preventing leakage of the medium.
(3) Easy operation: It's convenient for remote control, just rotate 90 degree from fully open to fully closed.
(4) Top loading sstructure: Valves installed on pipelines can be directly inspected and repaired online.
(5) Single valve seat design: eliminate the problem of abnormal pressure increase in the valve cavity affecting the safety of use.
Shortages:
(1) Higher price: Compared with other types of ball valves, the manufacturing cost of 3PC flanged ball valves is relatively high.
(2) High installation requirements: precise positioning and welding are required.
(3) Large size: The volume and weight of three-piece flange ball valves are usually large, which is not conducive to installation and use in some places with limited space.
(4) Complex structure: There are many connecting parts, and more attention needs to be paid to the selection and installation of seals.
(5) Maintenance: Since there are many connecting bolts between the valve body and the valve cover, regular inspection and maintenance are required.
2. Comparing Flange and Threaded Ball Valves: Key Differences
