| Threaded Gate Valve
Stainless steel threaded gate valve is a device used for shutoff, flow diversion, pressure stabilization and flow Shunt. It shoukd generally be installed horizontally in the pipelline. The opening and closing parts are plug-shaped valve discs with a fllat or a conical sealing surface. The gate valve disc moves linearly along the center line of the fluid. The movement of the valve stem can be either a lifting rod type (the valve stem rises and falls, and the handwheel does not rise and fall), or a lifting and rotating rod type (the handwheel and the valve stem rotate and rise together, and the nut is set on the valve body).
(1) Component materials (Z15W-16P stainless steel threaded gate valve):
Valve body, valve cover, gate: WCB, ZG1Cr18Ni9Ti CF8, ZG1Cr18Ni12Mo2Ti CF8M
Valve stem: 2Cr13, 1Cr18Ni9Ti 304, 1Cr18Ni12Mo2Ti 316.
Gasket: PTFE/steel strip graphite winding.
Padding: PTFE/flexible graphite.
(2) How it works:
The stainless steel wire gate valve is a forced sealing valve, which relies on the pressure of the valve lever to make the sealing surface of the valve disc and the sealing surface of the valve seat closely fit to prevent the flow of media.
(3) Application areas: chemical, petroleum, papermaking, mining,electricity, liquefied gas, food, pharmaceuticals, water supply and drainage, municipal administration, mechanical equipment, electronics industry, urban construction and other fields.
(4) Strength & Weakness
-Simple structure, easy to manufacture and maintain.
-Small working stroke and short opening and closing time.
-Good sealing, less friction between the sealing surfaces and long service life.
-Large fluid resistance and large force when opening and closing.
-Not suitable for media with particles, high viscosity and easy coking.
-Relatively poor adjustment performance compared with ball valve.

1. Key matters when installing and maintaining gate valves:
-The corrugated stop valve operated by handwheel or handle can be installed at any position of the pipeline.
-Handwheel, handle and dynamic mechanism are not allowed to be used for lifting.
-The flow direction of the medium should be consistent with the direction of the arrow shown on the valve body.
Stainless steel threaded gate valve, also called cut-off valve, is not only suitable for medium and low pressure, but also for high pressure. Only one-way flow of the medium is allowed, and it is directional when installed. Its structural length is greater than that of the gate valve, and the fluid resistance is large. When it is in long-term operation, the sealing reliability is not strong.
When the threaded gate valve is opened, the opening height of the valve disc is 25% to 30% of the nominal diameter, and the flow rate has reached the maximum, indicating that the valve has reached the fully open position. Therefore, the fully open position of the stop valve should be determined by the stroke of the valve disc.
